class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Leta 1322, ko so izumrli Vovbr\u0161ki grofje, nasledijo njihove posesti gospodje \u017dovne\u0161ki iz Savinjske doline. Skoraj celo naslednje stol. in pol so bili med najpomembnej\u0161imi rodbinami v srednji Evropi. Od leta 1341, ko jih je nem\u0161ki cesar Ludvik Bavarski povzdignil v grofovski stan, so se pona\u0161ali z naslovom grofje Celjski. Svoje bogastvo in vpliv so nenehno pove\u010devali s premi\u0161ljenimi \u017eenitvami in premeteno politiko, s tem pa sta se posledi\u010dno ve\u010dala tudi njihova vpliv in oblast. Tako so leta 1397 pridobili naslov zagorskih knezov, leta 1407 hrva\u0161kih, slavonskih in dalmatinskih banov, leta 1430 ogrskih baronov in leta 1437 tudi naslov dr\u017eavnih knezov. Svoje h\u010derke so poro\u010dali v pomembne vladarske rodbine; v Bosni s Kotromani\u0107i, na Poljskem s Piasti in Jageloni in v Srbiji z Brankovi\u0107i. Dosegli so tudi, da se je h\u010di grofa Hermana II., Barbara Celjska, omo\u017eila z nem\u0161kim cesarjem ter ogrskim in \u010de\u0161kim kraljem Sigismundom Luksembur\u0161kim. Vojskovanje za Habsbur\u017eane v 14. stol. jim je kot pla\u010dilo prineslo v zastavo pomembne de\u017eelnokne\u017eje gradove in urbane naselbine, med njimi leta 1368 tudi Slovensko Bistrico. Kljub dejstvu, da so bili po statusu formalno povsem izena\u010deni s Habsbur\u017eani, jim ti nikoli niso priznavali enakosti. Zato je leta 1443 pri\u0161lo do habsbur\u0161ko-celjske vojne, po kateri so morali Habsbur\u017eani 16. avg. 1443 v Dunajskem Novem mestu (Avstrija) s Celjani podpisati premirje ter hkrati tudi medsebojno dedno pogodbo. Med to vojno je Slovenska Bistrica trpela vojne grozote, saj je mesto ve\u010dkrat prehajalo pod nadzor ene ali druge rodbine. Celjski so v vojni pove\u010dali ozemlje, a jim ni uspelo strate\u0161ko povezati svojih ozemelj v celoto; pas Celovec\u2212Ljubljana\u2212Novo mesto je ostal v posesti Habsbur\u017eanov. Po izumrtju celjske rodbine pa so Habsur\u017eani prevzeli celotno celjsko posest, s \u010dimer so pridobili nazaj tudi med vojno izgubljene posesti. Za izumrtje grofov Celjskih je bil kriv boj Ulrika Celjskega za ogrsko krono, s \u010dimer si je nakopal veliko sovra\u017enikov med ogrskimi veljaki. Ti so proti Ulriku pripravili veliko zaroto in ga leta 1456, ko so vojske branile Beograd (Srbija) pred tur\u0161kim obleganjem, zahrbtno umorili. Ker je bil Ulrik Celjski brez naslednika, se je z njegovo smrtjo kon\u010dal njihov neverjeten vzpon. V Celju se je ob pogrebu zadnjega grofa Celjskega razlegal srhljiv klic: \u00bbDanes grofje Celjski in nikdar
